6:00 pm — Reading of The Polar Express @Bonney Memorial Library6:30 pm — Tree lighting in Thompson Park with free goodies, hot cocoa, & community sing-a-long.
Saturday
10:00 am-2:00 pm † — Children can make or pick-up a craft or a treat and have their train ticket punched at local businesses. Visit every shop on the train ticket and get a gift from Santa when you turn in your ticket at The Inn at Cornish by 2 pm!
10:00 am-2:00 pm - Ladies Guild Craft Fair at Cornish United Church of Christ & Luncheon
11:00 am - 2:00 pm — Holiday Craft Fair at the Arts Center at 8 Hancock Ave, Hiram, featuring local Maine artisans offering dried and fresh wreaths, artful woodworking, handmade jewelry, everlasting local flower arrangements, fiber arts, ornaments, holiday cards and more. Enjoy live music by Carlos Angeles and the opportunity to attend an ornament-making workshop hosted by Good Buddy Farm.
All-day — Goodies and discounts at local businesses & restaurants.
10:00 am - 2:00 pm — Cornish Historical Society costumed storyteller and treats for guests.

The Sacopee Valley area is full of hidden gems. Artists, crafters, trades-people and treasure hunters make up many of our local shops. Shopping locally for the holidays is the best gift you can give a small business owner! Check out some of these great finds.

Small Business Saturday
This year, step out of your comfort zone and stop by one of our local bakeries, restaurants, coffee shops, retail stores, etc. and support your neighborhood.
Shopping local matters because it affects our entire community. More money spent in the Sacopee Valley means more money stays within our community. This not only helps our schools and other organizations through taxes, but our local businesses are usually the organizations that support local charities and your favorite events (did somebody say Apple Festival?). Our community wins as a whole, AND the individuals - your neighbors, and friends - who took a chance and made their dream a reality win as well.
