There was a time in my life when I had to start all over again. Where I had nothing to my name, not even a car or bank account. So many emotions ran through my mind as I sit in my mom’s trailer outback.  It’s dark and I hear the familiar great horned owl call. It reminds me of my childhood home and the familiar sounds in the night. I felt happy and I decided to do the next best thing whatever it be. As a fresh start, I could be anyone and I could create anything I wanted for myself. The meaning of the owl carrying the lantern to me is carrying a piece of home within. He finds his light in the darkness.
