At a young age, I heard people say I was a mama’s girl. I believe that statement holds true to the this day. My mom has taught me so much about life. Even when she said nothing at all, I learned from her. She never spoke ill about others, was honest, She made me always feel safe enough to come to her. She is one of the few people that can calm me down when I’m angry. My mom likes to make faces at me when we are lifting heavy objects. She has done it my entire life and it always make me laugh. Like gut wrenching laughs! A lot of people are intimidated by my mother, I have heard them say it. I think it’s just because she’s quiet in a way. To me she is full of personality, so much of it. I’ll never forget the time I spent two years away from my mom. I was in Australia and it was hard for me to get back. After the long 24 hour flight I ran into her arms.  32 year old, crying like a baby.  I said to myself I would never go that long without seeing her again. For those 3 precious weeks home with her, she spoke of a zebra painted in rainbow colors. I painted it and the hair was wild and fierce. Moms give the best hugs.
